The Power of Women, Dalai Lama

All quotes are approximate excerpts of the Dalai Lama’s speech.

“So now, we are in the 21st century. Modern education is basically oriented to material values. Materialistic oriented education system. Highly developed country education is very good, but a lot of problems, especially with children. Most cases of students of suicide among the young increasing. What is wrong?”

My questions:
What would an education system look like that does not focus purely on materialistic values? What would women suggest as another portion of the education system to promote warmheartedness and a sense of responsibility?

“NYC or Los Angeles. Millions of people live together but many of them feel lonely. The lack of human affection, personally and in the family. Lack of affection—no genuine cooperation, too much competition. Suspicion, distress…loneliness. The existing modern education system is only concerned about brain development, not warmness, sense of responsibility.”

First draft, does not yet include the expressions or details. A rendition of the famous Chinese painting, “The Vinegar Tasters.” That painting is about the differences between Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism in how they view life (represented by vinegar). This is about the differences between Monotheistic thought, Paganistic, Shamanistic and Atheistic.

Beach Bump/Cyclic Connectedness

down to the beach bump
gonna get my ass dunked
water’s so dirty my legs’ got thirty necrotizing cuts, yup
i sold the bottles i found for nickels
tickles me to think of the pickles I coulda pursed
honored guest of the hearse
waking up in pickled vinegar
give me salt treatment first here’s a burst
sand in your eyes, sandstorms paint the skies
thirty necrotizing guys fricasseed by greed glass
each with a raw ass stinkin up the graveyards
six feet below the grass, thirty beach bump victims
holo-deckin in a mind blast, I’ve asked,
American Beverage Corporation,
I guess you got your cash in hand
Can we begin to inhabit that bottle island?

there is something so terrifically liberating about another person loving you for all of the things you are afraid to show others out of fear of not being loved.

sorry i’m not sorry for being corny.
